Buy Reggie White’s North Carolina House At Auction

The house where Reggie White lived when he passed away in 2004 at age 43 will be sold at auction in March, according to the listing site that Reggie’s widow Sara is using. The house has been on and off the market since at least 2007 with no buyers. Now the starting bid is at $1,500,000 for the massive 13,000 sq. ft. mansion that features five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

You’ll also be getting a dream house on the banks of Lake Norman that was supposed to be the White family forever home. Now sitting empty, it’s time for the house to go.

House details from the auction site:

Meticulously built for Hall of Famer Reggie White and his family, no detail or feature was overlooked when designing this astonishing estate. A Chris Phelps original, built by Simonini on a 1.02± acre double lot, this lakefront home in the gated community of Connor Quay and offers over 165′ of waterfront. With 5 spacious bedrooms and ceiling heights exceeding 11 feet throughout, the home boasts lake views from every back-facing window. Complete with an elevator, office on each level, bedroom lofts, private lower-level entrance, theater room, gym with sauna, and more than 400 feet of walk-in storage, the home also features a newly installed saltwater pool that overlooks the lake and private dock. Designed for car enthusiasts, the two-bay, split-car garage can hold up to seven cars.  Pet lovers will adore the convenient dog kennels complete with grooming space. The property’s separate apartment is perfect for extended family or live-in help and close proximity to the exclusive Peninsula Club means membership is within walking distance.

Ever wanted an elevator in your house? You’ll get one with this place. And a massive apartment over the garage for when your son/daughter returns from college for a year off before getting a job.

Did I mention you’ll also get almost 4k sq. ft. of finished basement? Reggie clearly knew what he was doing when he built this castle. Room to spread out and to entertain.

Now you can get in on this at a ridiculously low price for that sq. footage.

More from the auction listing:

Sara White, in conjunction with DreamSleep, founded the Reggie White Foundation for Sleep Education, dedicated to providing access to everyone regardless of their financial or insurance status to treatment for sleep disorders. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the home will be donated by the Reggie White Foundation for Sleep Education, to charities that provide life-saving dental appliance technology to people with sleep apnea, the condition that contributed to Reggie’s passing in 2004 at the age of 43.
