Colorado Cop Wearing Giants Jersey Catches DUI After Broncos Game, Looks Tired In Mugshot

Aurora, Colorado cop Leland Silver is going viral in the Denver area for his mugshot and arrest on DUI charges after an October 16 arrest that came after a Giants-Broncos game where Silver might’ve had a couple cold ones too many to celebrate Eli’s coming alive moment of 2017. The Giants got into the win column that night with a 23-10 victory, their only win this season.

One thing led to another and Silver, a lieutenant with the Aurora department, was booked by Denver police. The police report and mugshot have finally surfaced from the incident and Leland, who was already in trouble for some situation over the summer, looked tired in his booking pic.

From Denver Channel:

According to a probable cause statement from the Denver police officer who arrested Silver, the lieutenant, who was off-duty at the time, was found passed out behind the wheel of his car while it was stopped at the intersection of westbound Colfax and Bannock St. in downtown Denver shortly after 3 a.m.

His car was in gear and the engine was running at the time.

The officer asked Silver if he’d been drinking that night, to which he replied “he had maybe a drink earlier during the game,” according to the probable cause statement. Silver refused a field sobriety test and was arrested. The probable cause statement said a blood test would later be completed.

So not only is Leland on a one-way ticket to getting fired from his police job, but his Giants are a complete disaster, will probably be looking at a quarterback at the draft and Odell is on the IR. Now Leland has multiple court dates between now and the first of the year and nothing to look forward to in January.

The only good news is that Colorado State is bowl eligible at 6-3.

Here’s Leland during better times:
