Back in the fall I had a chat with my father on our way to Green Bay to visit Lambeau and see our very first Packers game about how you can’t vent on someone over an incident because at this point you have to assume everyone is carrying a piece. We talked about how back in the day like the late 80s/mid 90s you could tell someone driving down the road that they’re a jerkoff and that would be that.
Now you don’t know how quick someone is willing to pull the piece and start blasting. My dad is a staunch gun-carrying 2A guy who doesn’t preach about it, but he’s always carrying, and he’s saying how it’s a weird time where people are just plain angry at one another and want any little reason to shoot.
The brings me to a Publix in Tallahassee on Mother’s Day. You’d think it would be a pleasant day where women were all on the same team and would come together for a day of peace and no beefs. Welllllll, it’s Florida and you know this post needs some drama.
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman after deputies say she pulled out a firearm and threatened another person in a Publix parking lot.
On Sunday, deputies were dispatched on a weapons call. Officials located one of the described vehicles, a minivan driven by 36-year-old Jessica Mock.
Deputies followed Mock and conducted a felony stop, detaining her in handcuffs and performing a pat down which resulted in no firearms being found on her person.
Authorities say Mock claimed she was threatened by a woman at the Publix on North Monroe, who said she was going to “shoot her in the head.”
LCSO says the victim met with deputies to give her side of the story, stating she approached a checkout line and saw an abandoned cart, belonging to Mock, and decided to go ahead of it.
According to arrest records, when Mock returned to her cart, she and the victim began to argue. Officials say the victim told them she left the line and went to another checkout line, where she and Mock finished around the same time.
I think you know where this is headed. Yep, there was a parking lot beef. Jessica Mock (allegedly) pulled a .38 from her waistband and threatened the woman who had children with her. That’s right, Mock (allegedly) couldn’t let the checkout line thing go and wanted to have the last word over a woman possibly getting out of Publix ahead of her.
Folks, I’m fine if you want to do this shitt and end up in the news because it turns into pageviews for BC. However, now you’re on the hook for lawyer fees and have the court system all tied up over such a dumb beef. If you leave your cart at in a grocery line, you should be smart enough to know you’re giving up your spot. This isn’t new. Jessica’s acting like this is her first grocery rodeo. Now she has an aggravated assault charge on her head.
AND IT WAS ON MOTHER’S DAY! JESSICA’S A MOTHER. HOW DO I KNOW? SHE POSTED SUNDAY BEFORE GOING TO JAIL AND PEOPLE TOLD HER HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY IN THE COMMENTS.
