It's 17 Degrees Outside, But All I Want to Buy Is Swimwear

I won’t even pretend like this type of behavior from myself is anomalous. I don’t know why, but I’ve always been more interested in buying what is un-seasonal than those pieces that I could be wearing in the moment. Think coats and boots in the summer and (much like today) swimsuits and sundresses in winter. It doesn’t help that I work on a weekly new arrivals roundup, where, thanks to the fashion calendar, I’m usually exposed to next season’s pieces just as we’re settling into the current one.

Nonetheless, since I simply can’t get swimsuits off my mind—despite the fact that as I write this, on Friday, February 1, at 12:26 PM in NYC it is literally 17 degrees outside and I had to wear five layers to make it to work—I decided to do a roundup. After all, it’s sunny somewhere and a tropical vacation is never completely off the table. If you agree, just keep scrolling to shop the coolest new swimsuits I’m obsessing over right now.

+ Romy Embellished Bikini Briefs ($80). Amazing how buckles can turn the simplest silhouette into a statement swimsuit.
+ Bella Bottom in Sky ($110). I don’t think it gets more luxe than crystal-embellished swimwear.
I already own this in black, but I’m starting to think I need this new color anyway.
In case you haven’t heard, I’m very into cow print right now.
+ Whimsy Hi Bikini Bottom ($72). Little details, like a tie waist, make all the difference in swimwear.
+ Swirl Bikini Bottom ($75). Love a marble print.
I’m a sucker for anything with shoulder ties, mostly because of how it looks but also because it allows you to customize your fit.
Can you tell I’m a sucker for anything that sparkles?
+ Brazilian Bikini Bottoms ($13). I like to play it safe when it comes to spending on trendy colors, which is why this affordable neon find is perfect.
Isn’t there something nostalgic about this?
+ High Cut Cheeky Bikini Bottom ($18). A price and a print I can get behind.
+ Lanai Reversible Leopard-Print Bikini Briefs ($210). It’s hard to make a leopard bikini feel unique, but this brand has managed to do it.
Rixo’s beloved prints have finally made their way into swimwear.
PSA: It also looks great with jeans.
Too cute to pass up.
Very few swimsuits are worth weird tan lines, but this one definitely is.
+ Heather Bikini Bottoms ($110). This shade of red is perfect.
This one-piece evokes the feeling a beautiful painting that was reimagined into a swimsuit.
+ Balin High Waist Bottom ($98) . The contrast piping here is so flattering, especially on the bottom where it gives the illusion of a draped belt.
I’m 100% here for anything tie-dye right now.
+ High Rise BIkini Bottoms ($82). Who would have thought cap sleeves would look so good on a bikini?
