Bernardo Silva won the Premier League with Manchester City a couple months ago, and now he’s looking for more hardware at the 2018 World Cup. His Portugal squad, headlined by this guy named Cristiano Ronaldo, is one of the favorites in the tournament, and their journey begins Friday in a big time match against Spain.
Pro Soccer Talk ranked Silva as the No. 47 player in their World Cup Top 100. He made 35 appearances and scored six goals in his debut season with Man City. Prior to signing with City in 2017, he played three seasons with Monaco in Ligue 1.
Off the pitch, Silva is dating model Alicia Verrando. According to her LinkedIn, she can speak six different languages (French, English, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish) and has a business degree from SKEMA Business School in France. She also did a semester at Cal State Fullerton. The Sun notes the two met while Verrando was an intern at Monaco in 2016.
