I’ve been obsessing over this bag since it made its debut on the Rejina Pyo runway. It comes in white, black, and brown faux croc, and now the question is which color to order.
It occurred to me recently that my Instagram feed—and its unending stream of outfit photos and travel pics and runway shots—has really become a way to feed my appetite for all things visual and new. Over years of discovering new brands, influencers with cool style, and suggestions from my explore page tailored just for me, it has come to align with my personal aesthetic in a way that’s so spot-on it’s almost unnerving.
What that means, though, is I end up getting a big portion of my fashion inspiration straight from my Instagram feed. So it’s no surprise that my fall shopping list is stemming from posts I’ve seen on the app. From the boots on the top of my wish list to the ’80s print that’s about to be everywhere to the bag I’ve been awaiting the drop of for months, I’m breaking down the pieces I’m shopping for fall inspired by photos I’ve saved from Instagram.
While crop tops are generally reserved for the summer, I fell in love with this set I spotted Giorgia Tordini wearing for Zara’s “Mood for Autumn” collection.
Another Zara find—these tall slouchy boots. I would wear these with anything from a long dress to a miniskirt and car coat.
Animal-print pieces were one of the runaway trends for the season ahead, which is, in part, a nod to the return of the ’80s. While leopard is a mainstay in my closet, I’ll be venturing outside of my comfort zone and adding tiger and zebra prints.
One of the trends I’ve been anticipating most for fall? Cowboy boots. They were all over the runways and feel very wearable to me when paired with a skirt or midi dress.
I first spotted this dress in Paris at the Off-White show and instantly fell in love. The strapless silhouette suddenly feels very of-the-moment with pieces from the 2000s coming back, and the pretty tapestry print is perfect for fall. I’d wear this on its own or with a white button-down tucked underneath like it was styled on the runway.
I can’t resist a wrap dress because they are just so flattering and timeless. Thie faux-leather version in a plum shade is a great alternative to my lighter summer styles.
Crystal-adorned shoes are one of the prettiest trends for fall. What’s great about these is they can carry over to the holiday months when you need a great pair of party shoes.
You might connect pastels with spring, but they’re going to be huge in the season ahead. I’ll be wearing them with pretty pieces like this lilac satin slip skirt.
