Khabib Nurmagomedov Had A Good Laugh At Homeless People Doing Pushups For Cash

Conor McGregor’s next opponent, lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, is a very religious guy.

In April, the Los Angeles Times published a story about him called, “Faith comes before fists for Khabib Nurmagomedov,” that touches on his devotion to God and his dislike of “very dirty guys” like Conor and Nate Diaz. A snippet from that story:

“We see a lot of guys who are very good inside the cage. But outside the cage, they’re garbage — very dirty guys,” Nurmagomedov said. “You can’t say, ‘I’m the champion’ inside the cage and leave it at that. You have to be one outside the cage too. This is my goal.”

“I watched Nate Diaz smoking marijuana on TV. I don’t want my kids smoking marijuana. Some people think we’re to live like an animal. No. We’re here for a reason. I never drink or smoke. Not because I’m an athlete, but I’m Muslim.

“I have a family, kids, friends, a job. I don’t want to be like this. I’m almost 30. How many years will I live? Seventy? Eighty? I don’t want to live crazy. I believe when I die, I’ll come to the God and he’ll ask us everything we’ve done … ask us, ‘Why you do this?’”

There you have it. 29-year-old Khabib won’t be smoking tree or attacking buses filled with fellow fighters anytime soon. He’s above that scummy behavior as a man of faith. That being said, degrading homeless people is apparently fair game in his book:

What are your thoughts on this video posted by Khabib of him and his cousin paying homeless people to do press ups for money… 🤔

Personally we feel it’s disgusting and degrading.. Especially them constantly laughing at those involved.. 😡 pic.twitter.com/msE5i9ureE

According to SportsJoe.ie, Khabib is laughing in the background while his cousin has the homeless drop down and do pushups for cash.

Does this make Conor the face in this match? Ummm… probably not — unless you believe the Irishman’s video of himself laughing like a maniac fits the “good guy” mold. Just two assholes going toe-to-toe for the championship, should be a fun UFC match people will actually care about for once.
